Two Days National Workshop on "Cyber Security & Cyber Laws"


Today we live in a cyber world where almost the entire world is connected and communicating with digital technology (whether it is mobile phone or computer) and Internet. Every information is accessible at the touch of a screen whether it is banking, shopping, bill payment or personal social engineering. But in this cyber world people are always prone to be in danger zone and every detail about any person can be exploited by someone. Devices connected to the Internet are always vulnerable to cyber-attacks. Every day these attacks are comes in a variety of ways as attackers become more and more inventive. These attacks not only come from the hackers but also from the various advertisers and e-commerce companies, who are interested to know about network access pattern, Internet habits choices preference etc. of the users. Without the permissions of the users even browser search engines leak persons Internet behaviors and send it to various interested groups. Cyber criminals in a variety of ways always try to find out personal identification data, password etc. of the user to make identity / bank frauds. So it's the very basic need to remain safe while surfing, downloading, sending and online transactions. Cybersecurity is the body of technologies, processes and practices designed to protect networks, computers, programs and data from attack, damage or unauthorized access. Cybersecurity involves protecting information and systems from major cyber-threats, such as cyber terrorism, cyber warfare, and cyber espionage. The aim of the workshop is to offer awareness and is specifically designed to provide the right knowledge to the Cyber Security enthusiasts. In this two day event discussion will be made to investigate the weakness by which intruder uses to gain access to computer and mobile resources, share ideas on how to better characterize cyber security threats, evaluate system performance when attacked by a cyber security threat, and assess risk of using the system in the presence of a cyber security threat.
